United Way of Crookston provides grant opportunities that support the Strategic Impact Plans for three primary focus areas.

GENERAL FUNDING CRITERIA

Does your agency currently have 501 (c) (3) status?
Does your agency provide social services within the United Way of Crookston service area? (Crookston, Fisher, Climax)
Do you currently have one or more secured sources of funding for the program?
Has your agency been providing services for two or more years?
Can your agency produce the following four result factors? — Program accountability (and fiscal responsibility), demonstrate lasting change in people’s lives, efficiently and effectively run programs, and programs that are responsive to the changing community needs

Site visit required during year of allocation by Executive Director and/or Board Member.
Grant amount is dependent upon annual campaign results.
All organizations seeking United Way funding must meet the General Funding Criteria listed above.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION

Send original completed application electronically via email. Original application with supporting documents must be mailed to our office or dropped off in person.

Completed and typed applications with attachments must be received at the United Way of Crookston office no later than 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Grant hearing dates March 4th, 5th and 6th, 2024

Submit the following with your application:

Application for Funding- Short Form or Long Form (signature required).
Submit a list of the current board of directors of the applicant organization.
Financial statement and a copy of the most recent IRS 990 tax return. You may use an audited financial statement for the previous fiscal year.
